Cubism - Steve Woodhams.

This evening, 8th November , we were treated to a presentation by local artist Steve Woodhams. Steve originates from Bloxwich and is soon to be the Chair at the Walsall Artists Group - a well established group of artists for over 70 years. 

Steve is self taught, working in his own interpretation of cubism. For our demonstration this evening he chose a simple subject to show the various stages of preparing and creating an image. 

Steve chatted throughout the demo, explaining each stage thoroughly and responding to the many questions from the audience. Although this is a style not many of the members have tried, the idea of the freedom, concentration and creative potential were some of the aspects members enjoyed. 

Our November challenge is to create a piece of work in the cubist style - and this presentation has definitely given us all a good starting point .
